Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings, you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. – Psalm 91:4-6
I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. – Psalm 34:4
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle an lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. – Matthew 11:28-30
Upheld, strengthened, and rested. God’s yoke is that of love and mercy. Let us take this yoke upon ourselves. For our fight is not with flesh and blood, but with our own devices of consciousness. Disarming, transmuting, renewing of the mind, trusting wholeheartedly in the means of grace. For what other yoke can bring rest to my soul? Even when speaking up for or helping the weak or less fortunate, grace may be at the helm if my soul is attuned. “Easy does it” is the way of the gentle giant who, by the love of God, overcometh everything. Bless. – Shawn Greathouse
