Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. – 2 Corinthians 3:17
For freedom, Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love, serve one another. –Galatians 5:1,13
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. –Romans 6:22
Free slaves. Disciples who are disciplined to be reliant on God to perform the “inner works” that affect the outer veil. It takes work to exercise self-control, even if it is a gift, and a fruit from the Spirit, then to take in the world and work out the loving solution to what presents. Maintaining presence, in and of itself, is a discipline that our kind of freedom requires. Unshackled under the light yoke of God, though we are, we still bind ourselves to the principles, meditations, and precepts that set ourselves and those we encounter free from bondage the same. Bless. – Shawn Greathouse
